Ceramics in the City is part of the London Design Festival and is held in the wonderful Geffrye Museum Of The Home. Each year 50 ceramicists are individually selected to take part in this prestigious event. As well as being able to meet and talk to the makers there are some fantastic demonstrations and talks to attend.
Ceramics in the City returns to The Geffrye Museum Of The Home with an exciting range of work by around 50 selected ceramicists, a mix of both leading names and rising talents. An array of styles, techniques, colour and texture will be shown in domestic objects ranging from functional tableware to purely aesthetic or quirky one-off pieces. A special launch evening will be held on Thursday 24 September from 6 - 8.30pm. Throughout the event visitors will have the opportunity to browse, buy, talk to the ceramicists and watch free demonstrations.
