This beautifully-renovated former parish church Kirk Gallery & Café now displays Sheila’s jewellery collections and her very latest designs. In addition, a tasteful extension houses the uniquely-designed, new Kirk Café. Every detail of the Kirk has had Sheila and Martin’s personal attention. Prepare to step into designer heaven as you walk through the original church door.
The spacious interior combines features of traditional Orkney stone-work with a touch of architectural inspiration from Sheila’s travels. Look around and you’ll see the pulpit casts a lofty view over the new, purpose-built display cabinets while soft-coloured shadows stretch from the stained-glass windows. Glance upwards and you’ll see the original brass lamps that once lit services now shining on Sheila’s silver, gold and platinum designs below. Look above and you’ll see her very first design featured in the original wooden roof.
Once you have soaked in the delight of design and detail in the historic Kirk, Sheila and Martin invite you to ‘take a pew’ in the Kirk Café.
